Recycling a product is one great way of saving money and protecting our environment from further damaging our ozone layer. Some of the products that can be recycled are plastics, metals, tin cans, paper, wood, batteries, glass, and rubber. Recycling these products is very important to the environment. And the good news is, that there are already companies which are doing their part in saving the environment by recycling rubber.
Rubber is one product that takes a tremendous amount of time to decay. Most come from the sap of a rubber tree, but modern rubber is mostly synthetic and made from oil. There are about 50,000 products all over the world that are made from rubber. Here's a list of these products:
Wheels - Trucks, cars, bicycles, motorcycles, and other vehicles need wheels in order for them to run. A standard wheel is usually circular and made from rubber. Wheels are black in color and most of them cause stains because of the soot that is produced during processing.
Rubber Bands - Rubber bands, also known as a binders, lacka bands, gumbands, lackey bands, lastiko, laggy bands or elastic bands, are made from rubber and latex shaped as a circle. Rubber bands have many uses. They are used in DVDs and VCD players as belts for opening and closing the device, as hair binders and as toys, among many other uses.
Slippers - Most slippers are made from rubber. Companies use rubber as the main material for making slippers because they hold pretty well even on shiny and slipper surfaces. Some companies add other materials to rubber when making slippers to make them stronger and more durable.
Rubber Door Mat- Rubber rugs are another type of products that are made from recycled rubber. In the Philippines, a certain type of rug is made of recycled rubber slippers which are neatly woven together and can be used as a door mat.
These are just some of the common products that are derived from recycled rubber. There are more than hundreds of these items made from recycled rubber and available around the world today. Start using recycled products to save money and the environment.
These days, it is important to find ways to be able to economize and, at the same time, use materials that promote the health of the environment. The use of rubber mulch, for example, can be a very good alternative to other traditional products used for other known purposes.
